No Deal Brexit and UK Integration for Ulster

March 26, 2019

Theresa May has blamed Northern Ireland for her own failings in the Brexit negotiations, and has also indicated that a No Deal Brexit could would lead to a revocation of devolution and direct rule for Northern Ireland.

Our Northern Ireland Organiser Brian Higginson has given the following statement:

"Not only has the Government not prepared for a no deal in Northern Ireland, it has the cheek to blame the lack of devolved administration in the province for not pursuing a no deal.

This is a clear failure of this government, something it has had 2 years to prepare for. As a party we have advocated direct rule and call for the relevant legislation to be passed to implement direct rule if the departure date for leaving the EU is set for the 12th April."

We believe we must Leave the EU as one United Kingdom - no dodgy deals, no bills and no backstop.
